Melanie M Yang is a licensed lawyer admitted to the California Supreme Court, the U.S. District Court (Central District) and the Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. She is a member of the American Bar Association, the American Immigration Lawyers Association & the Immigration Law Section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association. Attorney Yang obtained her J. D from Southwestern University School of Law in the United States. Additionally, she obtained her Master Degree in International Trade and Business Law and Bachelor Degree of Chinese Law from East China University of Politics and Law. Attorney Yang has extensive experience and broad knowledge in immigration law. She worked in well-established immigration law firms, such as Ross, Rose & Hammill and Law Offices of Kiang & Kiang. She also worked in a Customs and International trade law firm, Creskoff & Doram. Attorney Yang has obtained numerous permanent residency (green card) for Chinese students, scholars and researchers through national interest waiver or outstanding researcher immigration petitions. She also helped several painters, TCM doctors, musicians, dancers, athletes obtain permanent residency through alien of extraordinary petition. Attorney Yang also represents clients before the immigration courts, Board of Immigration Appeals in removal proceedings, Federal District court for Habeas Corpus action, petition for reviews at the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.
